Top 10 reasons if you live in Connecticut Why You should root for the Giants instead of the Patriots.

10. Unlike the Pats the Giants played two season in the State ( Yale Bowl 75-77, rented it out while they finished Giant Stadium and Steinbrenner kicked them out of Yankee Stadium.)

9. Unlike the "96" Patriots, Parcells actually won a superbowl with the Giants.

8. Remember when Bob Krafts said he was going to move the Patriots to East Hartford so the State spent all that money to research and begin building a stadium for the Pats/Uconn football and then suddenly Krafts said thanks but Massachusetts and Gillette are building us a better stadium in Foxboro so really we were just using you guys as a bargaining chip......remember CT Pats fans you could have been celebrating an almost perfect season in Hartford...instead of having to drive an hour North into "New England."

7. The Giants are on fire...I mean come on anyone can win 3 playoff games at home it takes skill to win 4 in a row on the Road.

6. Do we really want to hear Terry Bradshaw, John Madden and all these other NFL Pundits go on and on about how Tom "overrated" Brady is the Best QB of all time?

5. The Mannings have a perfect 1 for 1 record in the Super bowl.

4. His name is Strahan....Michael Strahan and his job is making Brady eat Turf.

3. The Giants only Lost by a Field Goal when they played them at the end of the regular season....revenge?

2. They are a psyched up underdog going into the final game just like the 1999 Uconn men's basketball team and we all know how that ended.....( apologies to any Duke fans reading this.)

1. This whole Eli Manning ( NY Giants ) vs. Tom Brady ( NE Patriots) match up seems reminiscent of the whole Phil Simms (NY Giants) vs. John Elway (Denver Broncos) match up in 1988. The Giants won that year as well.

ok that's my football rant for the year.

GO BIG BLUE !!!

I found this blog by googling "Steve McQueen is a mongoloid" and figured I'd dispel a few misconceptions.

"10. Unlike the Pats the Giants played two season in the State ( Yale Bowl 75-77, rented it out while they finished Giant Stadium and Steinbrenner kicked them out of Yankee Stadium.)"

Yes because everyone remembers the legendary 75, 76 & 77 Connecticut Giants teams. Oh wait, they were still the New York Giants then. Lets forget about the fact that they play in Jersey and are still called New York. At least the Pats have the decency to have an encompassing term like "New England." The G-Men could at least have the common decency to call themselves the "Tri-State Giants" if they wanted the support of Connecticut.

"9. Unlike the "96" Patriots, Parcells actually won a superbowl with the Giants."

Good to see you're waxing poetic about something that happened about 20 years ago. I don't even know what this means, you're making my head hurt.

Ahhh yes, I remember when "Bob Krafts" almost moved the team to the beautiful, financially vibrant city of East Hartford. Good to see you have really paid attention to pro football and know so much about "Bob Krafts." I'm also sure that whenever a team looks into moving into a new area, the state and/or city foots the bill for said research out of the kindness of their heart. You know where else "Bob Krafts" said he was going to move the team? Nashua, NH. Have you ever been to Nashua? They have a single A baseball team here and they could barely fit their facilities into the city.

I'm sure NFL players would have been lining up to play in East Hartford too. How would they have sold potential free agents on coming to the East Hartford Patriots? Maybe, "Guns are readily available." Or, "We just got an Applebees."

Also had they moved to lovely East Hartford I'm sure everything would have unfolded exactly as it did.

"7. The Giants are on fire...I mean come on anyone can win 3 playoff games at home it takes skill to win 4 in a row on the Road."

Literally they are about to burst into flames, better stand back people! Somebodies been staying up late with Daddy and watching Sportscenter!

"6. Do we really want to hear Terry Bradshaw, John Madden and all these other NFL Pundits go on and on about how Tom "overrated" Brady is the Best QB of all time?"

Yes we do. You know why? Because this is completely preferable to the onslaught of commercials we'd be subjected to if the Manning family got a 2nd Super Bowl title. Have you seen that Oreo commercial? We've only seen the tip of the iceberg. They'd be working in the retard brother they'd be so starved for ideas. They have 8 episodes of Lost shot and I watch them live. I'd love to somehow keep my Manning commercial magic number under 1300 if possible during this year.

"5. The Mannings have a perfect 1 for 1 record in the Super bowl."

Do you do stat work for Fox News? They're also a perfect 0-8 in bowl games.

"4. His name is Strahan....Michael Strahan and his job is making Brady eat Turf."

Luckily for all of us Tom will be able to take refuge in the gigantic gap in between his front teeth and escape unscathed.

"3. The Giants only Lost by a Field Goal when they played them at the end of the regular season....revenge?"

Pay no attention to the fact that the Patriots literally did not blitz in the first half of that game because they were waiting for the Giants to pull their starters. Also pay no attention to the garbage time TD that the Giants got that made it a 3 point game.

"2. They are a psyched up underdog going into the final game just like the 1999 Uconn men's basketball team and we all know how that ended.....( apologies to any Duke fans reading this.)"

Lord knows we wouldn't want to offend preening cocksucker Duke fans. As such fantastic movies as Remember the Titans have taught us, underdogs always win, and you should always root for an underdog. Also, heroes never die, they just reload.

"1. This whole Eli Manning ( NY Giants ) vs. Tom Brady ( NE Patriots) match up seems reminiscent of the whole Phil Simms (NY Giants) vs. John Elway (Denver Broncos) match up in 1988. The Giants won that year as well."

Sans the fact that the "overrated" Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings of course. When exactly did you start following the Giants this year? The Tuesday after the Cowboys game when you finally figured out they won? What were you saying about Eli a month ago? This is Kerry Collins all over again.

Face.
